How to Play Word Trek

Word Trek is a grid-based word puzzle game developed by PlaySimple Games — the same studio behind Daily Themed Crossword, Crossword Jam, Word Search Explorer, and Word Trip. Every puzzle presents a grid of letters (sizes range from compact 3×3 up to demanding 6×6) with themed words hidden inside. Swipe or tap to trace each word across the grid.

The grid size tells you the difficulty level before you start: 3×3 grids have 2-4 short words, while 6×6 grids pack in 5-7 longer words with thousands of possible letter paths. Word Trek previously went by the name "Word Up" before rebranding. Daily Quest mode gives bonus coins for solving special daily challenges.

Tips for Tough Word Trek Grids

Start with corner letters — they can only connect in two directions, making them natural anchors. For large 6×6 grids, scan diagonals first since long diagonal words are hardest to spot. The theme label on each puzzle is your biggest clue: if the theme is "Ocean Life", prioritise CORAL, WHALE, KELP over generic words first.

Common 4-letter words (TIME, WORD, GRID, BLUE) appear in many puzzles regardless of theme. When stuck, look for double letters — RR, LL, TT — since they narrow down valid words dramatically. Daily Quest resets every 24 hours and offers substantially better coin rewards than regular levels.
